Visit from HRH The Prince of Wales

HRH The Prince of Wales visits Barts on the eve of View Day, meeting the Barts Heritage team and members of the nursing staff.

N.B. The former Prince of Wales was Patron of Barts Heritage until His Majesty The King’s Accession

We were honoured and delighted when our Patron, HRH the Prince of Wales, announced that he would visit Barts on the eve of View Day, to see the progress that is being made by Barts Heritage, and to meet many members of the nursing staff, including some of those who cared for his late father, the Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness is pictured on the Hogarth Stair and in the Great Hall being shown some historic artefacts by Will Palin, our CEO, and observed by Barts Heritage trustees Sir Marcus Setchell and Prof. Charles Knight.

It was wonderful to introduce many of the front-line clinical staff, as well as some of our partners and supporters.
