In connection with the On Happiness season at Wellcome Collection, artist Chrystel Lebas presents two new works from the Regarding Forests photographic series in a multi-sensory installation within the Grade I listed North Wing at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City of London.
Wellcome Collection’s collaboration with Barts Heritage is an opportunity to explore the positive impact culture and heritage can have on people’s lives, reaching people in a place and at a moment where they might need it most. This installation marks the start of a new engagement programme that unites heritage and health in the historic spaces of the North Wing at Barts.
The installation will be open to the public to visit for free on Tuesdays – Fridays, 11am – 4pm and exceptionally on Sunday 5 September, 11am – 4pm, as part of Open House Festival 2021. Following the display at Barts Heritage, Wellcome Collection will tour the installation to other UK venues throughout 2022.
