Events
All of our regular events in the Great Hall are currently on hold while the COVID-19 restrictions apply, and we are concentrating our efforts on our free on-line series of webinars in the run-up to Barts 900th Anniversary in 2023.
A series of Archive Lectures were started in 2008 by Gerald Libby, then chairman of the Hospital Archive Committee. They ran for the next ten years, attracting distinguished speakers from the arts, architecture and heritage world.
A performance by Edward Fox OBE of his one-man show “Trollope in Barsetshire” in April 2011 and the 4th Archive Lecture later that same year, followed by a celebratory dinner, were instrumental in leading to the foundation of The Friends.
